Raw Mixed Berry Crisp
Ingredients
- 2 cups blackberries
- 2 cups blueberries
- 2 cups raspberries
- 2 cups strawberries, quartered if small and sliced if large
- 1 -2 tablespoon pure maple syrup, depending on your taste and the sweetness of the berries
- 1 cup pecans, raw
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1/2 cup pitted dates, roughly chopped (about 8 whole)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- In a 9x9 Pyrex dish toss the berries with the maple syrup.
- Put the pecans, walnuts, dates and cinnamon into a food processor and pulse until coarsely ground.
- Scatter nut mixture over berries.
- Can be served immediately but I like to chill 2-4 hours.
- Suggest serving with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
